Manchester City will have their treble-winning captain Ilkay Gundogan back in the squad for their first home Premier League match of the season against Ipswich Town.
Gundogan, who joined Barcelona when his contract expired at the end of a glorious 2022/23 campaign, returned to Manchester this week to finalise a return to the club he first joined from Borussia Dortmund in 2016.
City began their title defence with an assured 2-0 win over Chelsea, while Ipswich began their first top-flight campaign since 2001/02 with defeat by the same scoreline to Liverpool at Portman Road.
The last time these sides met in the Premier League, a 2-1 comeback win for Ipswich in May 2001 condemned City to relegation.

Man City vs. Ipswich lineups, predicted starting 11, team newsIlkay Gundogan's second coming at the Etihad Stadium is set to begin on the bench after Rico Lewis, Mateo Kovacic and Bernardo Silva commanded central midfield effectively at Stamford Bridge in Rodri's absence. The Spain star was still yet to return to training in the middle of this week after suffering an injury during the final of Euro 2024 and this weekend is set to come too soon.
Phil Foden was a member of the defeated England team in Berlin and the freshly crowned PFA Men's Player of the Year is set to return to the starting line-up. Foden replaced Savinho last weekend but the Brazil winger appears to have shaken off a knee niggle.

Liam Delap joined Ipswich from City this summer and is an academy graduate who starred as a striker in the same youth team as Cole Palmer. He will be keen to make a statement against familiar foes, although on-loan midfielder Kalvin Phillips is ineligible to face his parent club.
Chelsea striker Armando Broja and Sunderland forward Jack Clarke are set to come in to reinforce Kieran McKenna's attacking options but if their transfers are completed in time for the weekend they are most likely to feature from the bench.
Ipswich predicted (3-4-3, right to left): Walton (GK) — Tuanzebe, Woolfenden, Greaves — Johnson, Luongo, Morsey, Davis — Szmodics, Delap, Hutchinson.
