After scoring his 900th career goal on Thursday, Ronaldo stated, "For me, winning the Euro with my country is just as fulfilling as winning the World Cup. I have already achieved two titles with the national team, and that is what truly matters to me."
Ronaldo makes bold statementThe night saw the 38-year-old score his 900th career goal spanning a career for over two decades. He scored the second goal in the 2-1 win over Croatia in the Nations League opener. The Portugal star who now plays in the Saudi Pro League (SPL) is yet to win the FIFA World Cup in his career having reached the semifinals of the tournament in 2006.

Ronaldo added: “Scoring 900 goals seems like any other milestone, but only I know how hard it is to work every day to score your 900th goal.
“It’s a unique milestone in my career.
“I don’t break records… they haunt me!”
On the other hand, Messi has won the Copa America twice and has twice been runners-up. In addition, Messi also won the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar while he was runner-up in the 2014 tournament.
Interestingly, while Messi has completed football with all titles Ronaldo can add the World Cup in case he continues to play until the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
