Premier League Supercomputer's Projections for 2024-25 Season: Title Winners, Top-Four Finishers, and Relegated Sides Predicted

The 2024-25 Premier League season is set to be an exciting one, with a Supercomputer making bold predictions on who will come out on top. According to the Supercomputer, Manchester City will clinch the title, followed by Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United in the top four positions. On the flip side, the Supercomputer has also predicted which teams will face relegation at the end of the season. It forecasts that Watford, Burnley, and Norwich City will be the unfortunate clubs to drop down to the Championship. Fans of these teams will surely be hoping to prove the Supercomputer wrong and secure their place in the Premier League for another season.

Arsenal have come painfully close to lifting the last two top-flight trophies but have missed out twice to Manchester City and will be hoping it’s finally their turn.

Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea are desperate to make a return to the top four after enduring 12th-placed and sixth-placed finishes across the last two campaigns.

Manchester United finished all the way down in eighth last term – the lowest of the ‘big six’ clubs – and like Chelsea they are aiming to get back to their best.

There is lots of interest in how Liverpool will perform in 2024-25 under their new head coach, Arne Slot, who replaced long-term boss Jurgen Klopp this summer.

Tottenham are another club looking to clinch a Champions League spot after they narrowly missed out to Aston Villa last season. But which team will win the 2024-25 Premier League title? What will the top-four look like? Which clubs will suffer relegation? Here’s what the Supercomputer predicts…

Who will win the Premier League title this season?

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Supercomputer is backing Manchester City to once again walk away with the title.

Pep Guardiola’s side have been utterly dominant in recent seasons, winning six of the last seven Premier League trophies. Only Liverpool could stop them in 2020.

Which clubs will make the top four and what order will it be in?

The Supercomputer believes Arsenal will brutally finish as the Premier League runners-up for the third season in a row.

It is predicting a third-placed finish for Liverpool with Erik ten Hag guiding United back into the top four to secure the final Champions League spot.

Which three Premier League clubs will be relegated this season?

Look away now if you support Leicester City, Southampton or Ipswich Town. The Supercomputer thinks the three promoted sides are all going straight back down.

Leicester won the Championship title last season while Ipswich clinched the second automatic promotion spot and Southampton went up via the play-offs.

How does the Supercomputer work?

The Supercomputer, called BETSiE, was set up by bettingexpert.com.

‘The supercomputer simulated the league season 100,000 times,’ a spokesperson said. ‘The supercomputer takes into account all match results from last season (across all competitions), pre-season results and the current season as it progresses, projecting the the season based on both pre-season expectations and xG earned both for and against during the season.

‘It now also integrates team financial data and player values from Transfermarkt. This additional layer of data provides a more nuanced understanding of team capabilities and potential performance variations.’
