Virat Kohli last appeared in an Indian jersey in the ODI series against Sri Lanka earlier this month. He failed to make any impact with the bat, as he amassed only 58 runs in three innings. He returned to London after India’s 2-0 defeat in the series.

India’s modern day great announced his retirement after India’s T20 World Cup 2024 Triumph. Kohli struggled to find his form throughout the tournament, but he played a clutch inning in the most-important final against South Africa, scoring 76 runs off 59 deliveries.

Rings of Power actor Charlier Vickers recently revealed the details of his encounter with Virat Kohli. He said that he crossed the Indian batter at a hotel in Auckland.

Vickers revealed that he was feeling nervous to approach him. speaking on news 18 Showsha, the actor stated:

“I once walked by Virat Kohli in a hotel in Auckland, and that was really surreal. So I’ll say him because of that encounter. (When asked if he greeted Kohli) No, I was too nervous.”

Kohli’s batting form will play a crucial factor for India in their upcoming Test season. The side will lock horns with Bangladesh in a two-match home Test series, starting from September 19 in Chennai.

After the conclusion of the Bangladesh series, India will host New Zealand for a three-match Test series before heading to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
