New Delhi: The second unofficial Test match of the two-match Test series between Australia-A and India-A took place in Melbourne from 7 November. The Australian team successfully chased down the target of 168 runs and secured a 6-wicket victory, claiming the series 2-0. However, amidst the Australian victory, the outstanding bowling performance of Prasidh Krishna continues to spark conversations and admiration.
The fast bowler took the wickets of Marcus Harris and Cameron Bancroft in the first over of the second innings. Let us tell you, both the Australian players are in the race to make a place in the team for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy, as Steve Smith will be seen batting again at number 4.

Prasidh Krishna dismissed Marcus Harris on a golden duck on the second ball of Australia’s second innings. Harris tried to drive but got an inside edge and wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel took a good catch. Then on the very next ball, new batsman Cameron Bancroft who came to the crease was out LBW. While chasing the target of 168 runs, Australia-A lost two big wickets on the score of just 2 runs.

The Australia-A team won on the basis of Sam Kontas’ 73* runs and Beau Webster’s unbeaten 46 runs. In the second innings, Prasidh Krishan was the most successful bowler for India, he took two wickets. Prasidh had also bowled brilliantly in the first innings, he took 4 wickets for 50 runs in 16 overs.
Prasidh Krishna may get a chance in the Perth Test:
The first match of the five-match Test series between Australia and India will be played in Perth from November 22. Meanwhile, discussions are in full swing as to who will be the third fast bowler along with Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj. Harshit Rana was one of the contenders, but due to his brilliant performance against Australia-A, Prasidh Krishna now seems to be the first choice of the team.
